Woodbridge pulled off its third win in a row, defeating Troy. University won its home opener over San Juan Hills and Beckman bounced back with a home win over Torrance.
Northwood and Irvine suffered nonleague losses.
This week, Beckman is at Estancia, Irvine is at Torrance and Northwood hosts Valley Christian at Irvine Stadium Thursday.
Friday night, University hosts Laguna Hills. Woodbridge has a bye this week.
In victory and defeat, there were some outstanding football performances from players on the city teams.
